RMH Project

This is the project I will be taking this Saturday to the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford. Each coaster is covered with 1/2 inch strips of designer series paper, then the calendar and decoration are added. I have all different kinds of punch-outs for them to choose from to decorate their calendar. I hope the families will enjoy this project!

Gift Certificate Holder

This is a gift certificate holder I made to hold Stampin' Up gift certificates. I can make one for any occasion for you, a family member, or friend. Gift certificates can be purchased in any amount and are redeemable toward catalog items or stamp camps through me only.

Nativity Set

My daughter, Jerilyn, created this darling Nativity set many years ago. I hadn't displayed it for awhile, but found it to set out this year. The Mary and Joseph figures are only about 1 inch tall. Isn't this just so precious? Hope you all had a lovely Christmas with your families.
Now the countdown to New Year's is on!

Some Creations using the Big Shot

I have been using my Big Shot quite a bit lately and wanted to show you some of my creations using our exclusive Stampin' Up dies.

This is what I designed for our Christmas dinner place cards. It is a very simple design. Sometimes I think that simple is nice with all of the other hoopla going on. I used the Basket and Blooms die from Stampin' Up.

This little bag was made using the Fancy Favor die from Stampin' Up. I embossed it with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder. I got the idea for the tags on the string from something I saw at a local craft store. The tiny tags punch will be available starting January 5th in the new Occasions Mini Catalog! I have been waiting for someone to invent this tag!!

Fun Reindeer Bag

I have been seeing some darling ideas for making reindeer. Some are cards, some are bags, some are ornaments. I borrowed ideas from many places and came up with this cute little reindeer bag. She is made using the Bag with Scallops Sizzix die and the Swirls Scribbles Sizzlit die. Both are available from Stampin' Up! If you order both of these dies from me by December 25th, I will make a reindeer bag for you, and provide you with the directions! I also used the 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4" circle punches as well as the scallop circle punch to complete the bag.

I have made a bunch of these in various colors to gift to my friends. I will post some of the other samples later.

Advent Calendar for Caleb

This is the Advent Calendar I made for my little grandson, Caleb, who is
1 1/2. I had been working on it since September or October and needed to have it finished so that I could give it to my daughter when she came at Thanksgiving with her family. I decided to take off the big gold snowflake on the top and just have the snowmen up there. I gave her a bag of M & M's so that she could put a few in each drawer for Caleb to have each day. I wish I could be there to see his face as he opens the drawers. She did tell me that he stares up at it on the mantle. As he gets older, we can find some small gifts to put in the drawers to make it even more fun. Ah, what joy to have a grandchild. Now if they just lived a little closer by.....

My Digital Studo Certified!

I have just become certified in My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! If you are interested in finding out more about My Digital Studio, just let me know! I am having a lot of fun with my creations, and it lends itself to so many different areas! I have produced a scrapbook album book about my grandson, a calendar about my doggie, and several greeting cards. I think one of my favorite areas is the multimedia--I added a musical background to the scrapbook and put it on a CD to share with family members. Fun!!

A sample of some of the cards I have created are shown below:

It is also fun because I can either have these printed or can send them in an email. It works especially well to send greetings to our son in Italy.

Let me know if you would like to learn how to create with My Digital Studio!!

Front Row Regional

Today, 5 demonstrators plus myself got together for a Front Row Regional. I purchased the DVD from Stampin' Up, and we each purchased the make 'n take kit to do the projects. We each also brought something for the potluck lunch, and made a day of it! We also decided to do a holiday swap, so my sample is shown below. We had a very fun day together!

Beanie Gift Card Holder

I was just browsing some blogs this morning, and I found this very cute idea for a gift card holder. This would be perfect for the holidays, or can be adapted to any occasion. Hmm... I am thinking of a baseball cap next. You can find the instructions for how to make this cute idea here: http://creativepad.typepad.com/creative_pad/2009/11/seasonal-saturdays-beanie-gc-holder.html.
Have fun!

Happy Card

Just a fun card I created using the Define Your Life and Wanted stamp sets as well as the Bitty Backgrounds. The colors are Elegant Eggplant, Kraft, and Whisper White for the cardstock, and Soft Suede classic ink and White craft stamp pads.

Snow Buddies Cards

I have been trying to use some of my supplies that I have been saving--for what, you might ask, and so did I, so here I go...
I had this cute chipboard cut out, so I decided to stamp on it using the Snow Buddies Hostess stamp set from the holiday mini catalog.

Then I decided to try it using chipboard cut out with the Stampin' Up Top Note Die and try the same thing. So these are the 2 cards that I created.

On both cards, the chipboard is attached using Stampin' Dimensionals for a 3-D look.

Halloween Ideas

Isn't this just the cutest little bag decoration? The instructions can be found here http://justjulieb30.blogspot.com/2009/10/wide-oval-pumpkin-tote.html.

I also made a cute card for my little grandson using the sweet treat cups from Stampin' Up. I had seen some ideas out there, but ended up making up my own design for the card.

Here it is before I put the m & m's in.

And here it is with the trap door opened so the candy can be put in or removed without ruining the card. You can also see the inside greeting.
I hope he will enjoy the card.

Gift Tote

My son was planning to give a birthday gift to a friend of his and I offered to make a gift bag. I used some special Washi-type paper and added Stampin' Up's real red ribbon and rhinestone brads to spice it up. I think she will enjoy the tote as a gift too. Don't you just love the color contrast!

Ronald McDonald Halloween Treats

The samples shown below were my project for the Ronald McDonald House yesterday. It has been so wonderful that there are a large group that anxiously await our arrival each month. (Sad that they have to be there so long, but great that we can help to make their stay more pleasant) I barely get in the door, and they come and sit down waiting to see what we have brought this month for them to create. In fact, a little boy asked me if we could come again next week. It is such a rewarding experience being able to share with the families.
The projects shown here were candy covers. They had a choice of skittles or M & M's to staple inside. After all, Halloween is coming up soon!
Have a great week!

One stamp, two uses

I was doing a little creating yesterday with the following card. While I was stamping the sentiment, "Welcome Christmas into your heart," I was thinking to myself how I always want to keep the "Christ" in Christmas. Sometimes people use the term where they replace Christ with an X, and I really do not like that. Then it came to me that I could use this stamp another way.
I used my marker and just colored on the stamp directly coloring only the "Christ" in Christmas and stamped it that way. What a beautiful thought, "Welcome Christ into your heart!"

Just another way that stamps can have more than one purpose! This stamp is from the set called "Heard from the Heart."
Have a wonderful day!
