My Sweet Emma

My sweet Emma hasn't been herself since Thanksgiving, but on the Monday evening before Christmas, she lost the ability to move her back legs.  After an overnight stay in the hospital, we were referred to a neurologist.  She will have her appointment on Tuesday to find out if surgery will help, or something else.
In the meantime, she is required to stay still and I carry her outside to do her business.  I have to use a thin blanket as a sling for her back end to hold it up while she walks.
She is on a lot of medications, but yesterday really seemed to perk up.  She got a new toy for Christmas, and was having fun chewing on it.
She has been my best buddy for the past 10 1/2 years, helped me through all the rough patches I had with my health.  So I am definitely here for her as she goes through her rough patch too.
She is such a sweetie, please keep her in your prayers!
Thank you and God bless!
Update:  Emma is going in for surgery on Tuesday afternoon.  It turns out her disk is really being compressed on her spine pretty severely, but the doctor gives her an 80% chance of returning to normal.  She will be in the hospital until at least Wednesday afternoon, then I will be in charge of her physical therapy to keep her legs and joints from stiffening.  She was shaking so much from being scared, I hope she does ok.
