I made this fun little owl card using the owl from the Fox & Friends stamp set. I inked up an acrylic block with Marina Mist and stamped it to get the shaded looking background behind the owl.
My youngest daughter works as a program assistant at a place called the Macdonald Center that "enhances the lives of the forgotten poor through relationships, service, and housing." She asked if I would be willing to make and donate birthday cards, because they like to give cards to their members on their birthdays. They used to have another woman doing this, but she is no longer able to do it. I was thrilled that she asked me to help out! I love to create and share my creations, as I do with the Ronald McDonald House, so I said an enthusiastic "yes!" This card shown above was the first card I made and have been working on others to send to her. I have admired my daughter's dedication to help the people in society that are often forgotten or looked down upon. She is truly an inspiration, and I am so happy to be able to help in this small way.
I encourage everyone to find a way to share your joy of creating with others as well, in whatever way you are able.
Have a great weekend!
