Hand-made gift exchange
This was my project for our annual gift exchange. I managed to do it one-handed, which was quite a feat. I purchased the small quilled note card and cut it to size. I mounted it on an embossed gold card. The beautiful background was made with Nuance powders by Magenta. I sponged the front of the frame with gold paint. I think it turned out very nicely.

Thanksgiving Favors
This is a sample of the favor that I made for our Thanksgiving celebration.
I was glad that I made them early as I fell and badly broke my wrist on October 25th. I am unable to do most of my crafting, so I am anxious for healing. I am still in a cast 7 weeks later, but hope to have it removed next week. At least it is a festive red cast this time. :-)

Birthday Card
While I was traveling recently, I found these wonderful spiritual coloring cards at the airport gift shop. I love to do coloring in my spare time and these are nice and small so that they can be finished quickly. I knew I would be able to mount them on cards and have a really fun spiritual and colorful card. I created this one recently to put on a card for my son's birthday. I also used pearlescent watercolor paints for the background. (unfortunately, this does not show up well in the photo) I layered it on an embossed card before mounting it to the main card.

Sympathy Card
Always hard when you need to make a sympathy card. I like clean and simple to be able to express myself inside.
September Stamp 'n Chat card
This was my card for this month's chat. I used the stamp set "Hello Color" for the main focus of the card. The greeting is from "Happy Birthday Gorgeous." I used the watercolor pencils for the coloring and then the aqua painter to blend and brighten them. The flower is die cut from the gold foil card stock with the Sunshine Wishes thinlits.
It took me a while when I was creating this to get just the effect that I wanted. I think it ended up looking very nice.

June Stamp 'n Chat
This was my card for this month's chat. I hadn't yet received my new items from Stampin' Up and their new in-colors, so I used some from the previous year. This involved some 2-step stamping and some stamping off of the solid images. I also gave the gals the option of mounting it horizontally rather than vertically.

Gift Bag for my Sister
This was the gift bag that I made for my sister's birthday gift.
I had recently been to a fun stamping meetup of my friend, Mercedes Weber, and she had die cut many flowers for us to use on some amazing projects. I had some flowerpieces left over and made this one to use on the gift bag for my sister.
If you want to see Mercedes' work, go to her blog linked on the right side of my site here--Share~Inspire~Create.

Way to alter a saying on a stamp
I really liked this stamp set when I saw it in the new Occasions Stampin' Up catalog. Except I really didn't care for the stamp that said "At least you're still pretty." I thought it was rather insulting and I would definitely not enjoy receiving a card with this sentiment on it. Therefore, I decided to alter the stamp so that I could still use it. Using a razor blade, I cut out the "At, least, still" from the photopolymer. Then you could use many words inside the card, such as "awesome, wonderful, amazing, sweet, fun, cool" just to name a few.
I made a card using the "wonderful" from a Technique Tuesday stamp set on the inside of the card.

January Stamp 'n Chat
This is my card for this month's stamp 'n chat.
I've been out of the loop because I've been really sick for quite a while. Finally feeling better and looking forward to doing more stamping again. I got the idea for this card from Pinterest (karenskreativekards.blogspot.ca).
