A Couple of cards for Macdonald Center

Here are a couple of cards that I made for the Macdonald Center. I made about 16 this time, and these are just 2 samples. Each one is different. Each time I see my daughter, I like to make sure I have some cards to give her so that the Center will always have enough to have on hand for their member's birthdays. These cards are very simple and can be used for men or women.

Demonstrator Stamp 'n Chat Card

This is the card that I created for our demo stamp 'n chat last week. Thank you to Jill Olsen for her inspiration and how-to video!

Fun technique

On our special demonstrator site, Stampin' Connections, a lot of the talented demonstrators have been doing this layering technique. You may have to click on the picture to get it up close to see the detail. Basically, you stamp the flower 4 times in versamark, emboss with white, and cut each layer out, then stack using stampin' dimensionals. I just did it on Concord Crush cardstock, but some of the ladies are doing it on white and then coloring in with shades of color using markers or aqua painters. It is a lot of cutting, but well worth it!

Surprise Bonus for stamp camp attendees

I decided to add a surprise bonus for my stamp camp attendees. This is a chocolate nugget purse. Additionally, you can't see it, but the nugget is decorated too using the It's a Wrap Occasions stamp set.

Final card from stamp camp

This lovely card was inspired by a fellow demonstrator. I got the idea from a card on our special demonstrator site called Stampin' Connection. I don't have the demo's name, but if I am able to find it, I will come back and post it at a later time.
This is the fifth and final regular card from the summer fun stamp camp.

Birthday card for my Daughter

My daughter loves to quilt, so I thought that this pop-up card with the sewing machine and tape measure would be fun. I hope she will like it.

Another card for the stamp camp

This card was inspired by my good stamping friend Lynda Lee. It is so easy, just dauber the colors onto the raised embossed image, and voila, a lovely card creation! Thank you, Lynda!

One more Paisley Petals DSP card

I had the scalloped oval piece left over from the die cut in one of my cards for the stamp camp (I will show that card soon) and wanted to make good use of it. This is one of the cards that resulted. I may add a little something more to it like pearls to give it a little zing.

Another Paisley Petals DSP creation

While working on the creations for the stamp camp, I ended up with some extra pieces of the Designer Series Paper that I put to good use on another card. I paired it up with Cherry Cobbler cardstock, one of my favorite colors! I like the crisp clean lines on this card. I can add a sentiment on the card either on the front or on the inside when I am ready to send it off to someone special!

Paisley Petals DSP card

I cut out one of the flowers from the Paisley Petals DSP and mounted it onto Whisper White cardstock, More Mustard, and Chocolate Chip, then ran it through the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. The bottom layer is the retired Close to Cocoa cardstock run through the same embossing folder and then lightly inked with Chocolate chip ink. It almost looks like velvet in person. Very vintage look to it.

Card #2 for Summer Fun Stamp Camp

I kept changing my mind on this card as I was creating it. This is my final design. I used the new pennant punch which is a lot of fun. This would be a great card for a guy or gal, adult or child. Very cheerful!

Love & Care Hostess Set

This is a prototype card using the Love & Care Hostess set in the Summer Mini catalog. The greeting is from the Petite Pairs stamp set. Don't you just love the new in-color, Wisteria Wonder? I also used another new in-color, Lucky Limeade on the stems of the flowers.

Card from upcoming Summer Fun Stamp Camp

I will post more projects over the next few days, as well as some of my prototypes that I did not choose for the camp.
The above card was inspired by Jennifer Conrad, who was inspired by Vicki Burdick. Thank you ladies, for your creative talents!

Happy Birthday Dave!
