Baby Shower Card

This is the card that I made for my daughter's baby shower. It is a fun dimensional fold-out card. She really liked it so I am happy. :-)

Baby Onesie Thank You Cards

We recently had a baby shower for my daughter and I made her some onesie thank you notes to send out. Here are a few of the ones I made. I made quite a few, and I think each one is unique, so I may post a few more over the next few days.

A few more cards for the Macdonald Center

Just a couple more cards for the Macdonald Center. Most of the cards I make for the center have very simple designs. Since there are men and women members, the cards need to be gender neutral and not too fussy.

More cards for the MacDonald Center

Sorry, haven't posted for a few days. We were away for our son's college orientation, and now I am getting ready for our daughter's baby shower. Summer is finally here and we got some pretty warm days. Now it is settling into a comfortable weather pattern.
The above cards are some more cards that I made to give to my daughter for her member's birthdays at the MacDonald Center. I wrote about her work there in a previous blog.

Happy Father's Day

Another My Digital Studio hybrid card. I just love how I can put all of these elements on the card, but the card is completely flat and can go through the mail without any extra postage. Doesn't it look like the bow is real? Anyway, this card is for my Father-in-Law. I hope he will enjoy it.
Happy Father's Day to all!

Blossom Bouquet Edging

I used the blossom bouquet triple punch to edge the paper on this card. I haven't decided exactly what I will add to the center of the card yet to finish it off, but I will post the final result when I do.

Stamp 'n Chat Card

This is my creation for last evening's demonstrator stamp 'n chat. I used some preview items from the new catalog that will be premiering July 1st.
The leaf and greeting are from a new hostess set, and the stamp on the side panel is a new stamp set. There is a new designer series paper and the green color of the cardstock and ink is a new "in color". More details to come!
This is a fun 3-D step card. Want to know how to make one? Book a workshop with me and I will show you how!

Blossom Bouquet punch highlighting

I used the blossom bouquet triple layer punch to get the outside flower shape for this card. I used it to highlight the flowers. I still have room at the bottom to stamp an appropriate greeting.

Wedding card

My son needed a quick wedding card, so I made this one up for him to give to a friend of his. I guess I should make up some wedding cards to have on hand.

Another version of MDS hybrid card

Thought I would try this on a horizontal card too. It gives it a very different look.

Another MDS hybrid card

Another MDS (my digital studio) hybrid card. I used the new hostess MDS cd from the summer mini to create the upper portion of this card. I realized that I haven't really used Concord Crush before, so I thought it would be good time to match up the flowers in this background paper with the cardstock.

Very Simple Card

I am a fan of very simple cards. This is definitely one of those. It has a little something special with the dry embossing on the pink cardstock, pink heat embossing on the greeting, and the lovely edging on the card. Other than that, it is simple, with a clean, crisp look.

Fun using a 3-D sticker

Just a very simple card using a 3-D sticker. I sponged the card front to give it a weathered look.

Another Graduation Card

Another graduation card, this time for my nephew, who is graduating from high school. This was created using My Digital Studio.

Happy Graduation!

I made this card for my son to celebrate his high school graduation. His school colors are red and black, so I thought this would be fun. I created the design in My Digital Studio. This is an exciting time!

Another MDS hybrid card

I just love this Beyond the Garden designer series paper, so I was so excited to be able to get it in My Digital Studio as well. I also love how I can layer the Fabulous Florets on there and make the flower larger to fit the area. I haven't decided which greeting I will add yet, but I have a lot of options with the Word Play stamp set.

Sale-a-bration self-adhesive die cuts

I had some of the lovely self-adhesive die cuts left from sale-a-bration, so I decided to use one on this card and added some tiny pearls. It is a fun way to add just a little zing to a card.

Birds of a Feather

I have been trying to use up my items that have been sitting waiting to be used. I thought that these cute birds would look fun all on one card. Since birds are very popular right now, I thought this would be very timely. I still have room on the card to add a greeting if I wish.

Father's Day Card - Ronald McDonald House

The families will have a choice of either of these 2 styles of Father's Day cards today.
I created the main design on My Digital Studio. They have the option of stamping the little design on the layered cardstock behind it. It is from the Broadsheet Accents stamp set.
We are having some unseasonably crazy rainy weather here in Northern California. I guess it is good for the plants and to help with allergies, but I am ready for the warm weather to arrive, especially for next week when my son will graduate from high school. The ceremony is outdoors.
Hope you have a great day!

Texture Galore

I don't know if you can see, but there are several textures on this card. I used 2 different embossing folders on the elements of this card

Birthday card for my grandson

This is the birthday card that I made for my grandson. I got the idea from a novelty catalog craft kit. The card is 5 1/2 x 8 inches to accommodate the large bird. He is constructed using paisley-shaped pieces from a die. The clouds are made from the cupcake punch lightly sponged with blue ink. I used a large wiggly eye and then buttons for the feet. I think he will like it, especially the orange feet, as orange is his favorite color right now. Grandsons are great--they allow us to be silly and fun again.

Thank you card

I just like how this card looks in person. I think because of the light background, it is difficult to capture how lovely it is.

By the way, today the Stampin' Up retiring lists are coming out. Go to my Stampin' Up website today to make sure that you can get the accessories that will be disappearing with the new catalog come July 1st. The accessories (including any stampin' wheels) are only available from now on a first come, first served basis, so when they run out, they are gone for good. The retiring stamp set list will also be coming out today. The stamp sets on this list will be available through June 30th. Contact me with any questions you may have, or to place an order if you don't want to order online.
