Another 3-D Convention Swap

This is a mini keychain booklet that I made as a swap for Convention.

I am planning to take my computer to Convention so that I can post things daily, so keep a close eye on my blog over the next week. I leave for Salt Lake City on Wednesday morning very early!

I have my monthly get-together at the Ronald McDonald House tomorrow, so I will try to post my projects from that tomorrow evening.

Another Convention Swap

It is difficult to see in this photo, but the background cardstock has been run through the Sizzix Big Shot with a texture plate. I made several styles of this card using different colors.
Don't forget to take a trip to my Stampin' Up website to see the deal of the week. This is the last of these specials, so don't miss out!
It is hard to believe that I will be setting off to Salt Lake City next week for Convention! I will be bringing back loads of new ideas to share!
Have a great day!

Convention 3-D Swap

At convention, we not only get to swap card fronts, we also swap 3-D items. The items shown above are magnets. I used blank wooden dominoes that I got from Oriental Trading Company and attached the ribbon and cardstock on them using sticky strip. These are just some possible designs. One could go crazy here with trying others, since Stampin' Up has so many cute small stamps!

Convention Swap #2

I used the new butterfly punch on this card. I punched out the butterfly and then put it in the Finial Press embossing folder to get the raised images on the butterfly. I used the roller stamp Delicate Dots on the lower left triangle. I used the rick rack from the Ribbon Originals. Another very simple card.

Convention Swap #1

This card is a "sneak peek" at the swaps that I have prepared for convention this year. This card may look a little familiar from a previous post, but I changed it around a bit using some extra colors and the new embossing folder from SU. The embossed background really gives it an elegant look. More sneak peeks coming soon.

Stamp 'n Chat Card

This is my card for the demonstrator stamp 'n chat that I attended last week. I got the idea from Patty Bennett's blog, and just changed the colors a bit. I sponged on the flower pot with the Soft Suede ink rather than brayering. I used the new in-colors Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry paper with the Kind & Caring Thoughts Hostess set and Teeny Tiny Wishes set. I used Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry markers to ink up the stamp and then breathed on the stamp and stamped it again, then breathed on it one more time and stamped it again. That gives the shadow effect on the flowers. I sponged the edges of the white card and the punch out with Rich Razzleberry. I used the Modern Label Punch for the greeting and the Eyelet Border Punch for the flower pot. The ribbon is the Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon.
